As a lifelong learner, you get top marks KLB! You've modeled all of the things that I really want students to learn and appreciate: taking a risk, trying something new, dealing with frustration, finding solutions, reflecting on the process, and sharing your thoughts and ideas.

Our grade 6 PE teacher does a fantastic unit using Movie Maker and clips that he has filmed throughout the year where students reflect on particular skills for each sport. We've just finished it and, man!, was it a headache for exactly the reasons you listed!

(And I loved the gratuitous blood spurt from the headless guy...)

The plans that we have in our heads or on pieces of paper rarely end up how it really is.

I try to model perseverance and sometimes shear bloody minded determination to MAKE things work when tech ideals let me down.

I love the way the headless dude is still in the boat giving chase! Man I'm weird.

Anyway, ya should have told me you were undertaking this. I had the same issues last year with my G5s (constant crashing of Movie Maker, finding out saving files locally is a good thing! etc.)

All things you take with you to the next time you do it.

It's all good. Really.
